The swine flu is not new; it is a respiratory disease in pigs caused by the type A influenza virus that normally doesn't affect humans."

History™ is pleased to announce teacher and student contests in celebration of the Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial.
There are a total of three contests:
• Lincoln Lesson Plan Contest for Teachers (3 grade levels; K-4, 5-8, and 9-12th teachers)
• Lincoln Coin Box Contest for Students (3 grade levels; K-4, 5-8, and 9-12th grade students)

Arthur - Character Seach Contest http://pbskids.org/arthur/ You can create a friend for Arthur! Ages 6-12 are invited to send in an idea for an exciting new character -- one who can show the gang in Elwood City that children come in all shapes, sizes, and abilities. If choosen, you and your character will appear in a segment of an Arthur show. Contest ends March 31, 2009!
